What Can I Do?

Ask for social distancing space in your area or for your journey. This is a council email right now, but we’re hoping they go public with it: email them on socialdistancing@richmond.gov.uk

School streets: tell your councillors to make sure all your schools are safe! We haven’t got a form for this right now, but there’s a great site here – http://schoolstreets.org.uk/

Tell the council where you’d like changes: Cyclstreets has an excellent new service called ‘Widen My Path’. You can add something to their map, or support what others are saying. Have a look here: https://www.widenmypath.com/richmond/

Tell NHS friends about London Cycling Campaign – they get free membership!

And if you’re not a member, check out all the benefits – right now there’s a £45 lock if you join, on top of the insurance and the bike shop discounts and the legal support and the LCC magazine and the discounts at awesome retailers like Hövding and Carradice and Howies and Restrap … check it out! https://membership.lcc.org.uk/sites/all/modules/civicrm/extern/url.php?u=20401&qid=4384336

Sign the BikeIsBest petition: https://www.bikeisbest.com/

Go to your community conversation and ask about cycling. https://www.richmond.gov.uk/community_conversation

And check out this page, of local businesses making a real effort to deliver in a low-carbon way. https://crossriverpartnership.org/directory/villages/richmond-town-centre/
